I was in a hurry when I posted above. ^^^^^^^^ and didn't have time to finish, so in the above pics., you'll notice that the tank is mounted in the very center of the truck so that the weight is basically even left to right. Also, the tank is completely in front of the rear axle. I also don't have a 5th wheel hitch, my Toy Hauler is a tag along. With this setup, it will allow me to start my trip with 68 gallons of diesel fuel onboard.....26 in the truck tank and 42 in the transfer tank. My main reason(s) for doing this are
1. Buy fuel without having to purchase more expensive fuel along the interstate, that may not give me options.....I don't want to use Biodiesel
2. Not have to be concerned about getting into smaller fuel stations with 56' of truck/trailer behind me. A lot of the truck stops now only offer biodiesel at the truck lanes it seems, and I simply don't want that in the truck if i don't have to. Carrying extra fuel in a transfer tank allows me to stop whenever and wherever I want to stop, not when the truck fuel gauge says feed me.

I would say to go Titan or Aero Tanks.
Aero Tank has a tank like the Titan except its not Plastic like the Titan.

I keep my generator in the bed in front of the hitch. Where can I find a u shape tank that would fit around the hitch and be low profile. Thinking maybe an extra 20-25 gallon capacity. May have to get one made.

Why not just get a bigger built fuel tank on truck

Buy four diesel cans at Walmart, so you will have something extra in a pinch

Long Range Fuel

Been runnin the western states alot of years and the one thing I hate is lookin for fuel often or truck stops for fuel.

So I always add as much capacity as I can... I have retractable bed covers on tow rigs so I build my own alum tank that hold about 58 to 60 gallons that fits under the retractor cover box in front of the 5er wheel.. Hook up a controlled transfer flow system and head down the road to the best price for fuel.. .

Now using my 4th setup with nary a problem...
