Backup camera

Hi guys .. new to forum and still novice RVer rented campers starting in 2012 then bought a small TT in Feb 2015. We just upgraded from a hybrid Apex 17 foot pop out to a 31 ft dutchmen aspen trail. We have a camera on our F350 that helps hitch up but need something on trailer to help back up and into spots. We would like wireless and have some night vision. Worried about getting bad quality that won't stay connected due to range. Your expertise much appreciated.

Kim

I have always loved my Peak PKCORC wireless with 7" monitor. I see they have a new model now but don't know about quality. Unless your eye sight is real good, I would avoid the small monitors.

You keep saying "we". Sounds like you have backing up help with you already.

rear camera

Kim, I use it a rear camera, and yes it is excellent for backing up as well. It is wireless IR with a 7" monitor. I will try to find the maker. It is about $84 on ebay and has a red tractor trailer in the pic. I had one on my last camper and wired it into the lights so I had rear vision whenever I had the lights on. Kirk

Me too!!

I'm looking to add a rear camera to our 5th wheel also (wireless preferred, we can hard wire the camera to 12 volt)we prefer the smaller monitor and don't want such a large screen. Just something we can glance at to make sure the RZR is still on the trailer behind... lo l

Backup Camera

Take a look at this conversation. "theMatrix" used a "4UCam" product with good results, no interference.

We have always used eBay. We get a 7" color wireless monitor and a backup camera with light and IR night vision. It is always around $79. I can never remember the name of the company (Korean or Chinese), but it is the one with the red semi cab in their ad.
