Everyone,

I would like to upgrade my Blazer with Air bags or springs. I have checked my ratings and I am well with in my limits. However, the suspension is so darn soft on this SUV, to make it ride like a car, that it squats more than I like.

So anyway, should I install Air Bags or Air Springs? What are the differences between them?

Also, who has the best prices?

Check campingworld.com for air assist springs. They have a wide price range depending on make of vehicle. I think there are 3 major manufacturers. Most auto parts stores sell them also. Comparison shopping is wise, and it's common to find sales.

I have seen the terms 'air bags' or 'air springs' used for the same item. Unless you meant airbags as versus 'helper springs'. Helper springs are different, they are extra overload leaf springs.
The good thing I think about the airbags, is they can be filled with more air to compensate for heavier loads, and then reduced in pressure to resume soft regular city driving while not towing.
Packages vary, but you will find airbags, or helper springs for that matter, for a couple hundred bucks depending on model of spring and vehicle type.
I see similar prices often, but i just installed my airbags that i bought from Summit Racing for what I thought was a good price.
