Pro Pride P3 Hensley $2500+ tx and delivery. Pulling 30' TT 5833# dry. Haven't taken it for the maiden voyage yet.

That's what we had, along with a friction anti-sway bar, until I replaced it with a new Blue Ox Sway Pro. A world of improvement. Easier to hook up and take off, quiet, can back up without having to change anything, excellent weight distribution and no sway. The Sway Pro is great, for our use anyway.

Yep, I still have the EAZLIFT and friction sway that I bought back in 02 for a previous TT. Some wear on the the holes for the bars, but it works. Funny, my Ram and TT are probably worth about 90K and the hitch is worth it's weight in scrap steel.

Made me laugh.......... Maybe I'll face the fists of fury and order a new Sway Pro from Blue Ox. But, it takes about 4 or 5 days for the swelling around my eyes to go down. Maybe I'll wait......

You mean that I'm not the only one? Every time I mention something new for the TT, I get "The Look".

Buying the trailer was actually her idea. I didn't argue much though.

Thanks for all the input. Looks like there are lots of good options. I'll probably investigate the Blue Ox, Anderson, and Husky a bit further.

As good as the better ones sound, there's no way I'm spending $2500 on a hitch.

This was exactly my experience. Started with EZLift, took 2 or 3 trips and sold it on CL, got a blue ox and love it.

Friends of ours tow a lighter TT with the Andersen and it seems to do very well.

4th for Andersen. I struggled between it and Blue Ox. Simplicity and weight won.

One unexpected advantage was how quickly I can hitch/unhitch solo--from one side.

The company is fantastic as well. Best customer service ever.

I was debating between the Blue Ox Sway Pro and the Andersen for quite awhile. Did a lot of research and ended up buying the Blue Ox, but I don't remember exactly why now. We've been very happy with the Blue Ox. No regrets.

The Blue ox is the one I like the most when mine finally fails. But then I probably won't need a hitch. Really though, the EAZLIFT has been quite reliable and done a good job for thousands of miles in the Pacific Northwest. Having a truck that is more than capable of what I tow probably helps.

Another vote for Blue Ox. The Andersen is superb and best if you have a long wheel base TV with a TT having a fairly light weight tongue weight. It eliminates sway with either type TV, but doesn't do such a good job of distributing weight back to the TV.

Greetings one and all,

I also have been using a older style EAZYLIFT system, the weight of the hitch alone could be used as a boat anchor.

Back in it's day it was a good system. Never have liked the lack of sway protection. As others have said in strong winds it can be a challenge.

So after 2 1/2 years of use(came with my used creekside) I have Bit the bullett
and bought a Blue Ox set up.

The Hitch is made here in the USA and it shows. Wow you have to see one in person to get a true sense of workmanship.

Now have it installed and will see how it does in the upcoming weeks.
Sometime you get what you pay for and this is one of those times.

WWR

I have the Reese huge greasy and heavy ball hitch with the Reese greasy and heavy bars and chains along with 2 clumsy Curt friction sway bars. It works very well. I'm tired of the weight, grease, and finding a place to store this cluster of steel, chains and grease. I am seriously looking at the Andersen soon.
