Just got a new 2500 GMC D/A. My new BrakeSmart brake controller will be in on Monday. On my last truck(f250), I mounted in the recessed hole in the dash.

Under the dash/steering wheel would look kinda cheezey to me. Anybody mounted elsewhere or have any ideas/pic's of where to mount??

Dag.......................

First, if nobody has yet, welcome to iRV2.

I had a `02 GMC and had the brake controller on the extreme right side of the drive area under the dash. I admit I did bump it with my knee once in a while, but never damaged either the unit or my knee.

Dagwood,
The extreme right side under the driver's side dash is where mine is located on my '02 GMC 2500. So far, not problems with it being there.

I have a Chev with "LT" trim (center console) and have my BrakeSmart mounted on the left vertical side of the console, alongside my right leg. Very visible and easy to reach, but out of the way.

Well, after a lot of work, I got the BrakeSmart mounted in the upper hole in the center console. Looks almost stock, almost as good as the Fords factory brake controller.
