Ford, GM, Dodge, they have all had their good models and bad models. Mid 2000s Dodges were notorious for eating transmissions, pre '04 Duramax's ate injectors and head gaskets, mid 2000s Fords had their share + of EGR/oil cooler failures which caused engine failures. A lot of these problems can be corrected easily before damage occurs. Do your homework before you buy a truck, don't just depend upon buying based upon past good luck with that brand.

We finally made it home after the last repair in Tremonton, Utah. This was without a doubt the best dealer I have ever dealt with. Ford motor company and the other two dealers are simply pointing fingers at each other. Ford says it is a dealer problem and the two dealers are just pointing fingers at each other. Pretty much fed up with all of them after this ordeal.

Chevy is the same way and if I discourage anyone from buying one after my $940.00 repair that I paid for under warranty so I could get my truck out of the shop which GM never would reimburse even though it wa a recall item.
Now at 58 K miles the oil sample came back "WOW, Thats an awful lot of metal in your oil!" ((*&%$#@#((*^*#%

That's a pretty vague post, so . . . not sure what to make of that.

I remember you from New Orleans. We had quite a trip home for sure. A total of three breakdowns two of which no one wants to claim ownership of. At least we finally made it home in one piece.
