Bully Dog 40420

How many of you are using the Bully Dog 40420 tuner? I am considering a purchase but would like real world input from those that are currently using this product or have used this product.

All input is appreciated and am really interested in those with results being used on a 2007-2012 Ram 6.7 Cummins tow vehicle.

Used bullydog tuner in my 7.3 powerstrokes. They were a good canned tune and safe.

Don't know what your funds look like, nor exacts for your yr model cummins, but there are much better custom tuners available.

I reccomended you go to Dodge Cummins Diesel Forum and read up.

I run a TS Performance on my Ford. I don't know any folks running Bully Dog, but, several of my co-workers have the Edge w/Attitude on their 6.7 and 5.9 Dodges towing dump trailers, horse trailers, and gooseneck trailers with tractors and rock crawlers. Pricey, but, I haven't heard any negatives from any of them about the Edge.

There's a Cummins forum on here, you could ask there.

bought one about 2 months ago, a BullyDog for a 5.9l 2003 3500 RAM. Have not really towed with it, but it does give you more get-up and go. fuel mileage about the same, but I'm using the go pedal more...like the power, even at the low setting.
You need to connect the tuner to the internet via PC for downloading the lastest software. satisfied with the unit? I'd say yes! anyother questions, let me know.

Why use one? Never seen the benefit.

Been towing with a Hypertech for 8 years. Trailer is 15k with Ford 6.0L.
Will tow for the next 10 years because I feel it's protection for my engine. I trust Hypertech more then Ford to program my truck for power. Fuel consumption is fantastic towing or not and exhaust temperatures are great. Best protection for turbo and injectors.

Edge has a better setup that is safer on your injectors.
