Well first off it does not take $70K to buy one. Mine listed for $67K and they were asking $59K. Traded in a 2014 F250 for $13K difference. Both are diesels with the Lariat Ultimate Pkg. Almost identical except F250 SRW to F350 DRW longbed, same color. If you already have a 3/4 ton it is not that expensive to trade up. If you can afford the 5th wheel trailer then you damn well better be able to afford enough truck to handle it properly.

I paid less than 70k for my truck all in with custom box, 5 wheel and extra fuel tank.

Yeah, JustAFordGuy was not being very exact with his numbers.

2016 F-350 SRW XL SuperCrew diesel 4x4 with 3.55 e-locker axle lists for $49,570.

2016 F-350 DRW XL SuperCrew diesel 4x4 with 3.73 LS axle lists for $49,910. That's only $340 more money for a lot more payload capacity. Of course those are basically work trucks, but the doll-up costs for either one are about the same. Less than $1,000 difference in those same two trucks with King Ranch trim.

So yeah, you can spec out a Dooley for $70k, but you can spec out an SRW for 70k too. And it certainly doesn't cost $70K to move up from an SRW to a Dooley.

Come on guys, that was a joke, That's what the smiley face was for. LOL

And besides, the $70k model with all the goodies is way cooler.
