can you use a gooseneck

ball 2 5/16 to pull a tt? just bought a new dual cam wd hitch and the only ball i found in town was a 25000 lb gooseneck,will my tt couple up to this ok?i noticed at the bottom of the ball seemed tapered out more then the others thanks

What size ball does the hitch on the TT call for? That is the size you should use. This size may be stamped somewhere near the receiver or at the very least should be in the documentation that came with your rig.

Any store that carries trailer supplies will have a 2 5/16" ball, also WalMarts, farm supply stores, auto supply stores,etc. I don't think the gooseneck ball is the same.
