A properly-sized and properly-adjusted weight-distributing hitch will distribute about 15% to 25% of the tongue weight back to the trailer axles. If the tongue weight is 1,000 pounds, that's 150 to 250 pounds that doesn't use up the tow vehicle's GVWR or rGAWR.
But if your estimated weights get that close to the GVWR of the tow vehicle, you're probably going to be overloaded when you get the actual weights on a CAT scale.
