10.5 US MPG when towing with my '03 Tahoe (5.3L, 4x4, 3.73 gears). 15-16 mpg without.

Got one figure, yesterday, that may help. With mods listed two posts back, on interstate, not towing, AC off, windows up, tailgate on, no appreciable wind, traveling at 66MPH on relatively flat road, I was seeing 18+. Keep in mind this is a 4x4 dually, with 2" Fred's dually spacers and wider and more aggressive tires than stock.

Killer truck, best one I ever owned. Don't have the boat anymore so it sold. But it would tow that silly boat up the pass at 85 if you wanted to. Stupid torque and horsepower. The newer ones are already chipped to those settings, but don't get quite the same mileage due to emmissions crap.
Hard to understand why anyone would care about soot and nitrate emissions from engines. Who really needs to breathe anyway? And they don't want me tossing my garbage out on the street or putting my motor oil down the sewer drain. What is the world coming to?
