Decided on a unit

Wife and I have just put a deposit on a new Rockwood TT (8329SS) and I am sure I will be asking a lot of questions, in general, as I am quite new to this and know little about the overall rv'ing experience.

Since this is a towing sub-forum I am here to get opinions and advice in that area. This trailer is 35' long with a GVWR of right around 9000 lbs.
For those of you who pull these fairly sizeable trailers, what is your set-up (rig, hitch, etc.)? One of the things I need to learn more about (not having trailered in a long time or anything of this size) is the actual towing experience. I have owned smaller and mid-size units in the distant past but not this size so any pointers on towing will also be greatly appreciated.

That's it, basically, just looking for what most use as a set-up in this area and any pointers about traveling with a unit of this size.

Thanks and look forward to hearing from you all.

Use a good WD hitch (good is another debate) and sway control is recommended for the driver and passenger sides for a trailer of that length. Your truck won't be an issue. My trailer is 32' and 8000 lbs. and I pull with an F250.

Good luck and enjoy!

There are several hitches on the market that are well like.
Blue Ox Sway Pro Hitch W/ Shank 1000lb - $599.99
Blue Ox Sway Pro Hitch W/ Shank 1000lb - $599.99
Reese Strait-Line Dual Cam Weight Distribution Hitch 1000# - $475..

And if you want the best of the best
Trailer Sway Control Hitch Guaranteed to Eliminate Trailer Sway - ProPride 3P
What is trailer sway?

I've used the EQ 1200/12,000 and the Hensley Arrow. Both were good, but the Hensley was as good as my current truck and 5th wheel.
I bought the Hensley used.

If I were to get another larger TT I would shop for a used Hensley Arrow or Pro Pride.
