Another very important issue with this Alaska Hwy adventure is protecting your radiator and AC condenser. There is a good amount of loose gravel and it will get kicked up from time to time. My 2004 Sierra grill was wide open, so I bought an after market Denali style, and it worked very well, and once in Alaska you will see all types of grill protectors.
