Diesel specs

I have recently purchased a 2010 Dodge Ram 3500 and it requires Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel, (ULSD) fuel only,(says so right on the fuel gauge)

My trouble and therefore also a question is, so far I have only found Shell diesel to come right out and state it is Ultra Low Sulfur Fuel on the pump itself. Can't see that at other common stations such as Esso and Chevron et al. (in Canada that is)

I believe it's federally mandated into law that only ULSD can be sold in Canada so is it that the other major dealers apart from Shell just haven't re-decaled their pumps or . . . who can you trust. I travel the BC interior extensively with most towns only having one fuel pump and it isn't always Shell . . . .

You are correct about the Federal mandate (in the USA, not sure about Canada). It's been around for several years. I wouldn't worry about the label on the pump. For me it is the same as gas pumps no longer say "unleaded".
