Even brake system

Has anyone experienced problems with a Roadmaster Even Brake system. Last summer while towing Ford Edge 2015 with a 35 foot Georgetown we experienced a situation where the even Brake engaged fro no apparent reason.
It stopped the Georgetown and ruined the front two tires on the Edge.

We had used the system at least 10 times over the past two years with no difficulties.
The Even Brake system checked out of after the problem.
Very concerned and don't want to loose two more expesive tires

I've never had a problem mainly because I don't use that product. I use a Roadmaster "BrakeMaster" however, since you unit is radio frequency controlled, in other words, a wireless signal is sent to the box in the car to apply brakes. Radio interference is most likely your problem. Do you remember where you were when this happened? Under a huge transmission tower, near a military base, close to satellite uplinks?

Of course, this is just a wild guess but if the unit checked out OK there aren't too many other choices..
