I've got 03 ram 3500 drw long bed with a 20K Curts...pullen 16500 pounds. works fine! simple to use! 4 pins to remove the hitch and leaves just two rails across the bed. can install a goose neck on the cross bar if you ever required. from a new bee in this 5ver world. also, I would not skimp on the hitch...IE don't use a 15,000 hitch to pull 15,000#...not for me
a link Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs Curt Fifth Wheel C16130 hope this helps!

Fill in your signature for one.

I see you have a 3500 RAM, is it a SRW or DRW? Do you have the factory pucks?

25,300# is what your max towing is unless something you listed is wrong. See below. With that HP and TQ you will have the 68RFE not the Aisin trans.

I think you meant GCWR in place of max towing. I know you know that, but thought I should point that out for lighthouse. Max towing with that setup is 16,660. I'm sure your salesperson told you otherwise though. I had one that would flat out not accept that he didn't have a single truck on their lot capable of towing 30,000 and kept pointing at their little pamphlet. I kinda felt bad for him when his manager had to correct him.

I've got the same truck (dually) with a B&W Turnover Ball and B&W Companion (RVK3500) 5th wheel hitch. It's a solidly built hitch that is rated to pull a max of 20k with up to 5k on the pin. It works quite well with our Montana HC 340BH.

5th wheel hitch

That's what I will get thanks. And yes I do have a 8ft bed V98;2878062]"huh, he asked about a 5th wheel hitch, not a truck"

OP please fill in your info so we can help with your questions. Also re read your posts before posting to see if You can answer your own question.

I will assume you have a newer RAM 2500 or larger capacity truck. If you do not have the factory 5th wheel prep buy the parts from Chrysler and install them, not a hard job. If you have the prep that's great.

This is the hitch to buy, best non air ride hitch on the market by far. B&W RVK3600 it has 25K towing and 6,250# pin ratings. Simple solid design with NO confusion if you are hitched.
