Flip-Over Gooseneck with B&W Companion

We have a new to us 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 DRW Diesel LTZ. It has a Flip-Over Model 288 R1 (POP) Gooseneck Hitch already installed. I want to install a B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch. Will these work properly together? Our Heartland Gateway has a GVWR of 15,500 pounds. Thank you.

I believe the Companion 5th Wheel Hitch is only compatible with the B&W Turnover Hitch. I'd call B&W and ask them.

Gooseneck hitches are not my thing. But I know there are various designs that use the pop-up/roll-over/turn-over/removeable ball concept. As Rich1961 said, The B&W Companion 5er hitch was designed to be compatible with a B&W Turn-Over Ball hitch. The POP/flip-over ball is a different design than the TurnOver Ball, so I doubt that the Companion 5er hitch will plug into it. However, either B&W or POP may make an adapter kit that makes the Companion Hitch work in the POP hitch.

Thanks, spoke with Roger over at Tweety's and he said they have an adapter, part no. FLC. So looks like I'm good to go.
