I assumed these truck would be priced in the range of most other MDT's, but according to Nextagone may be purchased for less than a F350.

What price are they showing on the NexTag site? It's certainly not the window sticker price?

Our local Ford dealer has an F-450 4X2 XLT on the lot and the window sticker price is $48,545, a lot more money than the higher trim level Lariat or King Ranch models shown on NexTag.

I was playing around on the build your truck thing just the other day... A 4x4 F450 king ranch with everything can get up around 60k msrp.

You can bump a 3500 Ram dually up around 51k msrp with the laramie 2h with the nav system and all the goodies...

A local dealer here in PA has 2 4X4 King Ranch F450's on their lot with nav listed at $63K. Another dealer has a F250 crewcab shoertbed listed at almost $52K. Those prices on Nextag look way low from what I have seen.

This may be an opportunity for the Ford guys to use the "dealer locater" part of Nextag and see if this is really true. If I were in the market for a new truck for towing my 5er, I'd follow up, but my Chevy D/A is performing great.

Having just stepped off the F-450 plank....I'll my two.

Window stickers are for those not inclined to do any research.

Current inventory is low. This does not automatically make "in-stock" equal to collector's items at Barretts.

I was able to land our steed (when all was said and done) about $500 under invoice.

That doesn't make me special at all. Internet managers (vice using the "sales mgr shifty eyed trade horses") know we can and do shop. Go to Kelly Blue Book, Edmunds, NADA, and Chromecars...figure out invoice, offer that. They will come back a bit higher...that's ok, it-is-a-business-deal...treat it like that. Then...apply for the "incentive" packages, Ford owner loyalty, college grad, active duty military, etc...

The end result is mighty good!

My neighbor just took delevery of a F 450 King Ranch which listed at 62K he got it for 55K minus a discount you get if you or someone in your family works for Ford, its a nice truck but not worth the money
