Goose neck adaptors

I have a 2013 F313RE Wildcat and all the trucks on the ranch have goose neck hitches. Does anyone know if it would void the warranty if I installed a good2go adapter from 5th to goose neck?

I'd check with your dealer. When I was considering a goose neck, some trailers weren't built strong enough for them and wouldn't warrant that setup.

Very few, if any, 5ers have a strong enough frame under the overhang of the 5er to handle the increased leverage of a gooseneck adapter. Therefore, almost all manufacturers of RV 5ers will void the warranty if you convert the little short kingpin into a much longer gooseneck hitch adapter.

But here in ranch country lots of the ranchers have the same problem as you do. They have horse and livestock and equipment trailers with gooseneck hitches, and an RV trailer with a kingpin. So many of them forfeit the RV trailer's warranty and have a local farmer/rancher welding shop beef up the frame under the overhang so it can handle the increased leverage of the gooseneck adapter. None of the ranchers that have that work done by that welding shop have ever had a problem with warping or bending the metal frame under the overhang, but I wouldn't trust just any welding shop to design it and weld it.
Grumpy ole man with over 50 years towing experience. Now my heaviest trailer is a 7,000-pound enclosed cargo trailer, RV is a 5,600 pound Skyline Nomad Joey 196S, and my tow vehicle is a 2012 F-150 EcoBoost SuperCrew.

If you do a search on here you will find plenty of posts on this. I will add this though. In our travels around this country we have seen plenty of fthers with goose neck hitches and most all of them were cracked on the sides where it comes to the front storage area. The adapters were forward also. Yes something came loose.
