I run 65 psi in the front tires and 45 psi in the rear of my 2500 Dodge /Cummins quad cab short bed NV5600 tranny with LT265/70-17 E when not towing any of my trailers.
If your 2500 GM is the 6.0 engine you can use less pressure in the front.... but if its the heavy Dmax/A and OEM tires they will need more pressure to wear good.

What truck do you have? Gas or diesel? Tire psi is load correlated. My door sticker says 65F 45R. I have a Cummins in the front so 65 psi is needed. My front weighs 4800 lbs all the time. My rear runs around 2800 lbs. No need to run 65-70 psi in the rear. Thats why only 45 psi is recommended. If you have a Dmax then 65 psi or there abouts is needed to carry the extra weight. You don't need 70 in the rear when running empty. You'll just wear out the tires faster and the back end will ride to harsh.
I tried some used bags I bought off Craigslist. I found that even with 5 psi in them the ride was still to stiff for me. I switched to AirCells. They're like Timbrens in that they don't make contact until you drop a load in the bed. Otherwise the ride is like stock all the time.

Towing and non-towing ride is SOOOOO much better. Enjoy... and remember to air back up when towing.
Did you go with Bilstein 4600's or 5100's?

I've got the same truck and now with some time ahead without travel, I've dropped my pressure to 60 at all four corners. Rides pretty good at that. For an HD truck at least.

Sorry for the delay in answering. Jimlin and Cumminsfan- I have the Duramax diesel. The doorjamb says 75 front and 60 rear. So that's where I put the pressures and 5psi in the airsprings. The harshness has indeed settled down now. Saving $ for Bilsteins.
