I've had the car trailer hooked to my '97 Powerstroke for a few days. Knowing I need the truck tomorrow I disconnected the trailer and noticed the brake lights were "on" on the truck. I know they weren't on prior to disconnecting the trailer. I went to the cab and the brake controller was clicking in sequence with the brake lights and the readout was revolving from "trailer connected" to "no trailer signal". I did the "jiggle" test on the wire looms at the controller and the connector at the rear and that didn't affect it. It seemed to quit and continue when it felt like it. Activating the brake lights, 4-ways and the manual lever on the controller didn't have any affect, either.

I disconnected the brake light wire but at the time it wasn't screwing up and it was waaaayyyy too hot to sit and see if it was going to continue clicking.

Anyone own the Hayes Lemmerz "Endeavor" controller and heard of this happening? It was in the truck when I purchased it. I know the owner and he installed the unit new and hasn't had any trouble with it. Personally, I don't care for the unit and may just end up replacing it, anyway.

Thanks.
