It is my first 6.0 and first diesel. Just got back from camping weekend and it was honestly a night and day difference from towing with the f150. Was so much more comfortable towing with it.

I see you have load lever bars, but do not have any sway control bars? The truck does look good and there is never any over kill in a truck but the 6.0 is not good. One out 1,000 work the rest are *#+#@&*. Good Luck

Ford 6.0 diesels of that vintage have a pretty bad track record.

Its almost comical in my opinion. Dodges can be the biggest pile of crap going down the road and because theyve got that "big truck cummins", which is also junk, the guys on here just love them. Go on a dodge forum, those guys will cry a river about the aisin and 68rfe, which are dodges best transmissions yet, cant hold up to any more power than stock. The early 6.7s popped headgaskets too because of the tuning. Early duramaxes like overheating, breaking cranks, and you have to pull the cab to change injectors. Someone on here even recommended a 6.4 powerstroke over a 6.0. The 6.4 psd is a disaster of a motor. They dont just fail a little, like a blown headgasket.

Ford never made the 6.0, 7.3, or either idi motor and thats the first ive ever heard of a 6.0 dropping valves.

Ford was "in bed" with Navistar on development of the 7.3L and 6.0L (and 6.4L). The problem was emissions. The 7.3L design could not be tweaked to provide the lower emissions demanded by the changing requirements of the Feds, so the 6.0L was developed by a team of Ford and Navistar engineers. Emissions were reduced, but at the cost of increased complexity and reduced reliability in the higher-powered Ford PowerStroke version of the engine.

The 6.4 was an attempt to tweak the 6.0 design to both meet increased emissions requirements and improve reliability. But it was not successful, so Ford divorced Navistar and developed and produced the 6.7L PowerStroke in house.

The Ford-designed and produced 6.7L PowerStoke diesel engine is not perfect, but the latest versions are reliable for typical use in a pickup.

The 6.0 and 6.4 PowerStokes can be made reliable by spending a bunch of money on them. Details are at TheDieselStop.com

Nice truck. Weighing the truck and trailer is always the first thing to do. Setting a hitch up correctly is important. You will be much happier towing with your F350. You can never have too much truck.

Real simple, get a truck that will control the trailer.

Are you using the L clamps that hold the arms to the bracket? I don't see them in the picture.
