What you want to do is tow doubles. Personally I would not recomend it, especially a small car. That is a lot of weight to be dragging around that far behind the drive wheels. I know a lot of people do it with boats, but remember this, if you do it you will limit yourself to a lot less roads in the country you will be able to drive on. Besides most states have a length limit on combinations, so depending on how long you are now, you may already be at or near the limit.

Alfa at one time had the schematics for a hitch assembly on the rear of their fifth wheels but in about 2003, they started to deny all warranty claims on 5th wheels that had a hitch assembly on. Now if you have a tow hitch on a fifth wheel, you will not have any warranty at all on any item in or on the trailer.

Believe it all comes down to "liability".

Thanks 450 Donn What I would like to know is it safe to pull a small car I have seen some big boats being pulled almost as heavy as a small car I do believe I got enough truck to handle it 550 Ford with 19.5 rubber and yes you are right you will be limited to where you can go

but the places that don't allow it the boss (wife) can drive the car to me the big issue is it safe as I have never pulled the combination I was hoping someone that has done it could share his or her expertise Old Guy
