Hitch question

Hello I am new to this forum and new to Travel trailers. I just bought a 23 foot travel trailer and have a hitch question I hope someone can answer. I am looking at buying a weight distribution hitch. How Do I know which one to get? what is a vertical weight? I know what the GW is its 5,000#'s. Do i get a dual sway control like the reeses have? like this

Reese 66074 Strait-Line 1200 lbs Trunnion Bar Camper Trailer RV#

or do i get one with a seperate sway stabilizer?

What is the most common people use? If it helps I will be using a durango to pull the trailer. Sorry for the long post

The hitch you have shown is a great hitch for the money, but with the trailer you are looking at, get the 600# bars and not the 1200# bars.

You do not need a separate sway control as it is built into the Dual Cam set up.

I have this reese set up on my 27 footer and I would never tow without it again! It keeps the trailer steady and really helps lift the back end on the truck back up where it belongs. I've also used systems with a separate sway bar and this is much easier and works better! Make sure you get it set up properly and you'll love it. Just a tip, if your camper tongue is fairly low like mine is cut 6 inches or so off of the pipe that you engage the load levelers with, you will save on lots lof frustration and your back! Happy camping!
