We have a 2007 GMC Sierra SLT Ext Cab 1/2 ton with a 6.5' bed we purchased specifically to tow our TT, tow it from Indiana to Georgia and ended up trading the TT for a Class A. The pick-up has low miles and is in excellent condition and I have added several aftermarket parts specifically focused on towing, such as 3000 lbs SuperSprings, a High Capacity Aluminum Rear Differential Cover so the rear end runs cooler, and a GM Performance Parts Intake so it breaths easier. It also has a Prodigy Brake Controller installed.

I know these items probably mean nothing to the average pick-up buyer, but they may be a deciding factor to someone who is looking to tow a TT.

We currently have three vehicles and are just looking to clear one out of the garage. Any suggestions on where to advertise that might get the most visibility of folks in the market for a good tow vehicle? We currently have it parked at our storage lot while our RV is in the shop, and there are plenty of TT stored there, but I'd like to advertise elsewhere as well.

I have thought about that, but Craig's List has gotten such a pretty bad rap in this area due to scams, thefts, and even assaults and attempted murder in conjunction with vehicle sales. I wish CarMax wasn't such a rip-off, I'd sell it to them and not deal with the general public.

I guess that was why I was hoping there was an RV related site or marketplace where the primary audience would be the good RV Folks you meet at most campgrounds!

Many of the message boards have a for sale area. Give one of those a try? Also, ebay motors has worked well for me in the past.

Mautofied.com

It's for custom cars and trucks, but this is slightly modified, PLUS alot of those guys with these custom trucks/cars tow their vehicles.

You can do it for free, with one picture, or pay for more info and pictures. I found one of my trucks on there, so I can vouch it's a good site.

We sold our old Silverado 2500 to the first guy that called on our Craigslist ad. When he took delivery, the buyer had cash in $50 and $100s.
If you have a lien close at the bank.
I recommend never post your email address. Make the buyer call you and use caller ID to get a phone number. If caller ID is blocked be suspicious.

I've had good luck with Craiglist. Dealers monitor those sites also, used trucks are in demand, especially diesels.
