.............New member here , I purchased an 8.1 in June of '09 to pull my heavy 5'ver ! It is a 2003 dually\ally with 49,000 on the clock . I've been driving my 2008 ranger as a commuter so have put very few miles on the dually , I'm in a fixed position and will probably stay so until this job ends in a couple of years then I'll have too move some place else probably to live and work . I get about 9 mpg just city driving but got 14.x when I drove the truck back from OK to Tx .
..............I wanted a duramax but a low milage truck was twice the price I paid for this gasser . My expectations once I hook up and go are around 6 or 7 mpg . , thanks , jigger
