I think the Louisiana plant deal fell through. Don't hold your breath on this one, there's only one prototype that keeps getting painted in different colors so it looks like they have a lot of them. The Elio will not be in production by 9/2015 as promised.

They will, however, take your deposit.

Lousy Business Model for that thing

A product with a lousy Business Model. That's what that is. I can't see the demographics for that car.

Now, here is something with better market potential. It is more expensive, but at least there will be buyers for this one. You can tow it (may be) and you can fly it ...

The last time I checked, it was around $90K, but it does go places our Jeep Wrangler does not.

Now, if they could figure out how to make the Maverick float and use that flying wing and existing mast as a sail in a sail boat, then you also have a boat ... they could add an option for inflatable pontoons on either side of the car to make it float ...

I was looking for a shot of the transition from racing across a sand surface and deploying the parasail for flight. In one video, the inventor mentions motoring through a jungle then switching to hop/fly over a river. Unless the jungle has a nice runway, I think the guy was pulling our leg.
