How about 20 to 22 MPG for a 2006 2500HD 5.9L Cummins hand calculated on the highway. Then the engine tuned with Power on demand from a Smarty doing 13.2 sec in a full quarter mile down the drag strip. This is about a 7800# truck weight running 37 tires.

Sounds like my SIL. We had to go downtown Houston from the Sugarland area, and it required two vehicles. She led because she knew the area, and it almost drove me nuts because she poked along. Coming back after the funeral or wedding or whatever we attended, I told her I'd find my way back to her house. Much more enjoyable drive when I don't have to follow a poke-along.
