We have a '99 E-350 Van with a 7.3 diesel engine. We are looking at a '99 35' Fleetwood Mallard Travel Trailer. does anybody have any suggestions about this trailer for us (i.e. is this a workable combination problems to consider etc...)?

Pulled a 30 foot Holiday Rambler with a E350 van and would not recommend anything longer for anything using a bumper pull. Just too much trailer for the vehicle. Unless you used something like a Hensley Arrow at over a thousand dollars for the hitch setup.

That's a big trailer for a van. Use Ken Lenger's towing weight calculator-after entering his website, scroll down to "HH_towing-weights.xls"- click on that to download the spreadsheet. You must know actual weights of your tow vehicle, and GVW of the prospective trailer. Never use UVW or dry weight to calculate what your tow vehicle will safely handle.
