Low Profile 5th Wheel Hitch?

I've got a flatbed on my Dodge 3500 DRW, it does not have a B&W gooseneck so the companion hitch is out. I'm looking at several 8 - 12" high hitches that would limit the impact of the bed riding higher than a typical DRW pickup.

Any thoughts on these Low Profile 5th Wheel Hitches?

Give this hitch a look.

I had one of these in my standard pick-up bed. It was great but my bed rails and trailer were too close together. I had to change to a regular profile air hitch.

You can look at the information on this hitch at Air Safe Hitches.

How did it attach to the bed? Did it use standard rail system? Looks like a great solution. Do you want to sell yours?

Yes, it connects to a standard set of hitch rails.

Sorry, but it was immediately obvious it was going to be too low for my truck/trailer combination so I traded it for the standard height hitch only a few days after buying it. The AirSafe hitch people were nice enough to work with me, I paid a small restocking fee and they did the swap for me.

before i spent that kind of money on a hitch i would get a reese hitch and take the legs off and bolt the hitch to 3" box tubing and then get a air ride tongue!
that is what i did on my 'cool bus'!
