Mike Rowe, Howie Long, Sam Elliot.

Who is the best truck spokesman? I hear Mike Rowe and I want a Ford truck. I see Howie Long and I want the Chevy. Then I see Sam Eliott with the guts/glory commercial and I want the Ram.

All three guys are great truck spokesman...IMHO

Buy a truck large enough to handle the job and any of them will do. But, buying a truck because you like the salesman makes little sense to me. Buy it because it has features that you like the others lack. Buy it because the price is better. Buy it because the dealership has a better service department. But, don't buy it because you like Sam Eliot's voice.

Well I guess you don't have a bias of any so you should make a matrix of items that are important (price, mpg, tow capacity, hp, torque, tire type, etc) and assign a value. Something simple like 1, 2,3, with 3 being most valuable . Add them all up at the end and high score wins, and hopefully it matches up with your most favorable personality.

Guys...this is just for fun. I think all thesd guys are good. Mike Rowe sounds so honest. Howie Long so manly. Sam Elliot has that deep voice.

My vote would be Mike Rowe.

I'm just hoping Tom Selleck isn't lined up for a truck commercial. My fair lady would be making the decision. lol.

I don't watch much TV, but I am a Mike Rowe fan.

What about Michael C. Hall (Dexter)? Doesn't he make you want a Dodge Dart?

Wow, this is a tuff one. Decisions, decisions... I think I would have to go with Sam, but all are close.

You mean the auto manufacturers are still doing commercials? I'm glad I don't own a TV. What a waste of time.

Yep... Sam Elliot for me.

But it would be quite a leap for me to buy a Dodge from past experience I've had with them. (70's, 80's, 90's) I know they must have made some good ones during that time, but I didn't find one. Between the poorly made vehicles and poor service it would be hard to go back.

But then, if Sam Elliot sells it, it must be reliable...

Gotta be Sam Elliot for me. I hear Mike Rowe and all I think is "Discovery Channel" but when Sam Elliot talks it makes me want to put my boots on grab my rifle and go do truck things in the dirt- like cut down all the trees in our neighbourhood or something.

Mike Rowe's an Eagle Scout. I had to google Sam Elliott (note correct spelling with 2 L's and 2 T's) to find out who he was. Howie Long? Was never a Raiders fan...
