Mod to Equalizer hitch

Ok so I upgraded to equalizer hitch a few weeks ago. ( love it, great improvement ) prior wdh utilized friction bar for sway control. After installing equalizer was no need for plates that were bolted to TT for friction bar. I could have left them there, or removed them and left just bolts, or several other possibilities. I decided to make a removable bracket that pins only to shank, nothing attaches to equalizer head. Does this help in any way... Can't say yet only towed from storage lot to home, trip this weekend.
Let's just call it tinkering with an idea, ( nothing to loose) Click image for larger version
