Ummmm....my trailer is a 2004 model with a 16,000 lb GVWR. The truck has a 24,500 lb GCWR and an 11,500 lb GVWR. Even if the trailer is at maximum GVWR (and it's not - we're not fulltimers), I'm within my numbers. The new truck will be going over the scales with the trailer soon.

Oh, and our truck is a 4x2, not a 4x4 - therefore, it has more "headroom" between the 24,500 lb GCWR (the same for 4x2 and 4x4 Dodges) and the trailer weight than a heavier 4x4 truck would have. That's one of the many reasons my last three (3) tow vehicles have been 4x2 duallies.
