My 2015 2500HD trailer break alarm comes on and beeps while I’m driving.

I’ve checked grounding and connections to no avail.
Anyone with other ideas is more than welcome. Beeping is driving me crazy.

It’s signaling no trailer connection.

Oh. So, it means the cable is connected fine. But that it is detecting an issue with the trailer brakes? Like electrical sorry or something? Would be pretty amazing if it could detect that the trailer brakes were getting worn down and needed to be adjusted. [emoji2]

If you are sure that the trailer wiring is fine, I would hook up the trailer to another truck and see if you still have a problem, which could indicate the brakes are not working even with good wiring. If everything is good, I would take it to the dealer. It could be the wiring loom in the truck, or the plug. The dealer has a trailer simulator to test the plug, and the computer to actually see all the codes the truck may be throwing.

Chevy did have problems with the trailer plugs on the '15/'16 trucks (for some reason, more on the 2500). My '16 ended up having the plug replaced after a number of frustrating trips to the dealer (warranty). Fixed the problem. You may want to open the plug up (wire connections) and check for corrosion. Big issue on them.

That would be my first place to start, umbilical or the plug at the truck

Not sure if this has any relation to your problem but on my 2004 2500HD at around 250,000 miles I have started to get this high pitch continuous alarm type sound that is only silenced by opening and closing the drivers door while driving. It just takes a couple of inches to stop it. I don't get it often but enough to where I've worked out a solution to silence it. And this is without a trailer. I'm not sure my truck came with a trailer brake alarm, I've never seen mention of it in operators manual. Jim E. OKC

I’ll check with the dealer since they had issues with them.
Thanks for the suggestions.
