Need advice on my truck and trailer newbie here

Mid summer my wife purchased a keystone trailer it was small and my 4 runner made my but pucker when towing it. So I purchased a 2013 chevy lt with the towing package. Well my wif upgrade the trailer to a jayco swift 28hd. Can anyone tell me if my combination is safe? Also do I need to leave the tow on the entire time of towing?

Any advice ribbing is greatly appreciated.

Some numbers from your truck manual and actual weight of the trailer and truck would be a big help towards giving you the info your looking for. Truck GVWR & GCWR , Trailer GVWR.
Reading the post " Trailer weights and Tow vehicle sizing " will give you all the basics . I'll see exactly where that post is and direct you to it.

AND what kind of truck? Chevy makes quite a few....1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, 1 ton....what engine do you have and what is the rear axle ratio?...we want to help but need info!,

As noted above, we need a lot more information on the truck and trailer.
Truck:
-model
-engine
-axle ratio
-GVWR
-GCWR
-actual weight of truck with cargo and passengers

Trailer:
GVWR
GCWR
Actual weight (not brochure or dry weight)

It appears that you have a light weight 28' trailer. A PROPERLY equipped truck can be used to pull the trailer...note PROPERLY equipped.
