My F250 has some decent mounts already present.

Any chance you can contact previous owner, for a brand name on the hitch they removed , or buy it from them??

Good idea to find out the weight rating of what was removed, you don't want to mount a 16,000lb. hitch to 12,000lb brackets.

But no luck yet.

It's obviously an underbed system, but it's not the puck style. Possibly fits Pull Rite rails.

Not an ordinary PullRite 5er hitch, but an original PullRite SuperGlide automatic sliding hitch.
Traditional Series SuperGlide - For Short Bed Trucks | PullRite Hitches

That's the hitch you want for a 5er towed by a shorty pickup. Maybe the original owner of the pickup felt the same way? If that's a PullRite SuperGlide mounting, then maybe you can buy the old SuperGlide from the original owner?
