I don't know what to think but I plan on getting this option if I order Jay Feather within 2 months.
I know its not a magic fix but would like the extra help. If it turns out to be a bust I can always unplug it down the road.

It's made by lippert the and you can retrofit it to any unit.
Basically it senses sway and applies breaks to correct.
I think it's pretty good idea

Sounds like a pretty good idea. However, looks like if you didn't have a good hitch with sway control you could wear out your brakes pretty fast. But would be a good safety measure as a backup.

I guess all new Jayco TT 's will come prepped for this and the actual device Will be an option.

Nice thing. But my Merc can do exactly the same via ESP/TSP + drop speed by 20 mph in a second. After just 2 sway movements.... It happens very seldom, however, thanks G-d

My F-150 has a similar electronic sway controller built into the truck's hitch receiver. As Chad noted, I use it as an extra layer of safety with my ProPride hitch.
I don't have any idea how that sway controller built into the trailer hitch would work with the similar system built into my tow vehicle's hitch receiver. But I would do a lot more research before I tried to tow with both.
My ProPride hitch works fine by itself, and so far I haven't noticed any problems when towing with the ProPride with the electronic sway control built into my hitch receiver. I suspect the ProPride prevents any trailer sway strong enough to activate the electronic sway controller, but that's just an educated guess.

You can add this to any trailer. Lippert apparently bought Tuson or has the rights to the product.

There is no built in system on a tow vehicle that does the same thing. The left and right trailer brakes are wired separately so the braking can be applied in a way that the trailer is brought back in line.

I hope someone who adds this to an existing trailer chimes in with how difficult the install is. At $549 I'd hate to also pay another couple hundred to have a professional install it.

If it's made by Lippert then it's made to break at some point. It's safer to buy the right truck for the trailer and get a top quality WD and set it up right. I would never put my safety concerns on something made by Lippert unless there were no other choices.
A properly matched, properly setup trailer should not have a sway problem.
