New tow vehicle

We've been towing our trailer with a 99 Chevy Tahoe, which had a 6 inch drop on the draw bar. We're now towing with a 1 ton pick-up..my question is how critical is it for the trailer to be level while towing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The closer to level, the better the trailer will tow. You may need to by a new dropped tow bar to get the height bcak where it belongs.

Additionally, by towing nose high it takes some of the load off the front axle of the trailer and increases the load on the rear axle.

Boy, that is a lot of truck to pull that 24' trailer. You plan on upgrading?

We do plan to upgrade to a 5th wheel...just bought the truck 'tho so it'll be a little bit before we make the move. At least now we're ready for it.
