New weight dist hitch

Good evening fellow RVers. I recently purchased an ORV Bloackstone 280RKSB. GVW is 10,600. I installed a propride hitch (came with it but was not installed....previous owner used an Equalizer). I have some clothes and kitchen supplies loaded up.....no water.....heading for Mountain Home Idaho tomorrow morning. I put new Goodyear Endurance LR E tires on it.

Have not made it to a scale yet....I would think with now water and being skimpy on what was packed it should not be close. With the load on the truck (ram 3500 dually) I dialed in the propride for 1000lbs tongue weight. It initially showed 1500 but that was not a true weight Im sure......how could it have been????

Thanks
Greg

Adjusting the propride jacks moving the weight forward reduced the weight at the scale
