I have recently purchased a 2003 Prowler 27H. I have a Ford f-150 with tow package. The previous owner gave me the weight Dis. set up but was using a Dodge that seemed to sit higher than my Ford. Is there anyone/anywhere on line that can tell me the proper way to adjust this to fit my TT and my TV ?

Bob,

Welcome to iRV2.

Most ball mounts are adjustable by removable bolts for both a height setting and for the angle for the bars. The height needs to be set so the trailer sits level when hitched to the truck with the bars cinched up.

The angle setting will raise or lower the ends of the bars.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your reply. I see on the ball hitch that there are adjustments up or down by moving the 2 big bolts. What I trying to figure out is: do I level my TT then back up to it and adjust the bolts sho the hitch goes oner the ball and then draw up the 2 side bars ? I didn't get any instructions with the rig and the previous owner didn't have them. Is there any place on line that mightshow some drawings.

Look at The Reese Products website, there are some pictorials and stuff there that may help you with this. Basically, you want to set the ball mount at a height that will facilitate the trailer being level when the tongue weight is applied and the torsion bars are set.

That's exactley what I was looking for. You people are great. I use to own a 28 ft Bayliner and was on a site BOC (bayliner owners club) It's amazing the help I got & gave to fellow boaters. This site is a wealth of knowledge and everyone who helps out should pat themselves on the back. I'm impressed and follow this forum daily.
