I'd assume they're needed to hold the slides in as that thing goes fish tailing down the road.

I wonder how fast that rig will stop when he hits a bump and the front end of the trailer "digs in"?

Couldn't quickly get a pic, but I've actually seen a 5'er that had a single hunk of angle iron welded to the pin, pointing strait down, with another hunk welded at a 90 facing forward with a 2 inch receiver welded to that. Couldn't get a pic because it was going down the road like that. I know sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, but....When it comes to stupid, there is no limits or barriers. Also heard, that stupid people can accomplish amazing things. When you think about it, it's is very true.
