Better learn to use it. For when you will need it, it will possibly not work. The secret for 4 x 4 trouble free driving is to make it work. There is many moving parts involved and rotating the axles and drive shaft is the best for minimal maintenance.

I am 59 years old and never needed it. Owned trucks all my life. Never stuck. Difficult to find a dually now that is not 4X4. No thanks, don't believe I will need it now.

I'm 47 and have used 4 wheel drive numerous times, especially growing up in Tennessee. I've also used it in Texas a few times, one being at a motocross track with a large enclosed trailer. I was in a grassy field and almost got stuck as I got in a wet area and red clay is beyond slick. If I hadn't have had 4 wheel drive I would have been stuck in a bad way. It had not rained in at least the previous 3 or 4 days but there was a very small stream nearby and evidently the ground stayed saturated in that area. I had to use 4x4 another time last year after delivering a trailer I had borrowed from a friend. I put it in his field behind his house and it was very wet.

I'll never own a truck that's not 4 wheel drive no matter where I live as I like to travel. If you never go offroad I can see where you might not use it but the one time you need it it's nice to have.

But I don't go the places you go. My truck rarely gets off the pavement. Also with 6k pin I have more weight on rear than front.

I can't really say I need it but I definitely want it, that's really the reason I got a 4X4. It's Texas after all, who wants a wimpy truck.

Cummins12V98, how are you liking your truck after three months? I'm about ready to pull the trigger and order a new one. Anything you wish you'd have gotten, or anything you ordered you don't use much? I'm like you, I want almost every option RAM offers. I figure I'm only gonna retire once.

I love it! Recently received our new 39TKSB3 Mobile Suites. Have not towed it yet but did tow the old MS and it made the 2011 I traded in feel like a toy. The 15 with 4:10's and the Aisin gets the load rolling with ease compared to the 11 RAM.

I really like the rear air ride. I was hoping the shocks would be good enough for my picky self but I replaced the fronts with Bilstein 4600's and the rides is better. The rear rides good but I will get the Bil's if and when they come out with a shock for the rear air ride.

I have the rear cargo camera and the backup cam. The problem is the cargo cam shows up in the 8.4 nav screen and the backup shows up in the rear view mirror instead of the 8.4 nav. The cargo cam in my opinion is worthless. I wish I just had the backup cam.

That is really the only gripe I have. I an getting almost 14 mpg city/freeway. I can see if I took a freeway trip at 60 I would get about 18 and at 70 16mpg. So that part I am happy with for such a big heavy truck.

I really liked the 11 RAM I had but this one is really amazing and a much better overall rig.

Get on the stick and get one ordered!

I read on one of the RAM truck forums about a company, from Switzerland I think, that makes a kit that allows the backup to show in the nav screen. I'll look it up when I get home from work, if you're interested. I'm glad you're loving your new truck. I'm sure I'll have mine ordered here pretty quickly.

The cargo cam works well for me when hooking up to the fifth wheel . I found if you lean over to the center of the cab and the picture is much clearer.

Wow! Those are some good numbers for fuel milage. I'm getting 13 maybe 14 at 65 mph. 9 to 10 mpg towing our Landmark at 58-60 mph. I see a lot of 8-9 mpg towing also.
