Well the LONG awaited new truck is finally in my driveway!!!!!

Picked it up yesterday at AutoNation in Seattle.

So far with just a couple hours behind the wheel I like it. There are so many new things to learn compared to my 11 HO Dually LongHorn I traded in.

I was NOT happy with the ride. The factory had 80psi on all 6 tires so I dropped the rears to 45 and it rode MUCH better.

The Aisin/4:10 combo will really get the load moving easily compare to the 11 with 68RFE/3:42's.

The "Full On" exhaust brake mode is awesome.

The front suspension makes the 11's look wimpy! Very massive.

Have a B&W RVK3600 sitting in the bed in two boxes and am anxious to get that installed and my HighwayProducts bed height tool box installed.

Can't wait to hook up and really give it a workout!

Your going to like the way it pulls also. I know you have the air ride (I don't), but the truck is level with a heavy pin weight. Haven't had it on the scales yet , but the manufacture says 3100 lbs, but I think more around 4,000. I like the way it rides even with that weight. Very comfortable, and extremely planted on the road. Enjoy that awesome rig.

Thanks!

It really takes off easy with the Aisin lower gears and the 4:10's, mileage seems to be better also.

CONGRATS!!! another new RAM. They really are taking over. I've had mine a year now and I still think it's the best vehicle I have ever owned.

Started off with a 98 RAM/Cummins 2500 4X4 quad cab 12V in 01 with 55K and sold it to my Son a couple years ago with 380K. Bought the 2011 HO 3500 Dually Longhorn in late 11 and just traded it in. Bought a 98 12V quad cab 2wd 5 sp a year ago for construction stuff to save damage to the nice truck. It has about 330K on it and runs strong.

So now I am on my 4th Cummins/RAM and they just keep getting better!

Actually one option I chose not to order was auto dim and auto wipers. I need something to do! They were the exact same price as Dave Smith but their trade was better even considering their tax rate is .098 compared to my local rate of .083%. I was very pleased I lost 12K from purchase price to trade in price and have 55k on the clock tax not figured in.

Have to say the guy from Dave Smith was less than responsive. Very impressed so far with Trevor Fawcett the General Sales Manager at AutoNation.

Someone is going to get a great truck when they sell my trade in. Anyone near Seattle looking for a nice Dually in my sig PM me and I can let you know when it will be available. Only thing I am leaving on the truck is the B&W gooseneck hitch. I will have PacBrake airbags with in cab controls and air compressor and air horns and MagHytec trans pan possibly rear diff cover along with a 18K companion hitch for sale. MaxBrake for sale also if the builtin controller works as well as I have heard they do.

First thing I will do with the new beast will be remove the factory tires and install a set of MS2's, Bilstien's, install my Highway products tool box and a new B&W RVK 3600 to haul a new 2015/16 Mobile Suites 38' to be ordered soon.

Also my Son ordered a Limited 3500 SRW LB 4X4 Aisin with all the options.
I will be replacing the truck next year its a 2009 6.7

The bad part is then you will want a larger heavier MS to give the new truck a challenge on the hills.

It is when you hit the exhaust brake button once then when letting off the go pedal the EB comes on full force. Hit it a second time it goes into auto mode. Then it can be from mild to full depending on what the conditions are.

It really slows you down in the "Full On" mode!

But the new Rams are a lot nicer than my 2012, and even that is not terrible.

The interiors of the X5 look just like the other high end BMW's that I've seen. I'd say the new RAM is about as nice. My wife drives a 750LI, that's about as nice as they make and I'm actually not that impressed. We had a 550 before, same as the 750. BMW's are very plain in my opinion. Comfortable, nice leather, but boring interiors. The Heads Up is awesome though, should be an option on lots of other vehicles

Don't even get me started on their crappy run flat tires. As soon as the lease is over next March I'm done with BMW and we've had one for several years. The tires are a piece of junk that no one keeps in stock. Have a blowout and you're screwed if traveling and away from a big city. Only people that carry them is the BMW dealerships and they wanted almost double the price as my tire shop that can get them within 1-2 days. I'll never own another one if they have run flats. We've never had one issue with the cars, local dealer has been outstanding. That's how much I hate the tires. Hit a pot hole and its $400 because the tire gets a huge bubble.

Okay, off my soap box. The new RAMS are awesome, interiors are great. That will be a beautiful rig, doesn't get much nicer than your combination in my opinion. Would love to see some photos.
