Why have there been so many motorhome based posts here - I have seen people asking about toads and giving advice based on motorhomes - not vehicles towing trailers?

I know there is some crossover between all classes of RVs but sometimes there are systems that are not exactly the same and advice in these areas could be confusing and not helpful.

So please watch where you are posting and what the topic of the thread is.

Rant Over

Guess I'm more forgiving Randy. I reply to questions whatever board they may appear on, if I feel I have something to add. I have senior moments, and occasionally post in the wrong place too. The only bad thing is,my senior moments are getting closer together each year.

Yes I agree, but I also agree with Randy. Posters should keep an eye on what forum they are in when posting. If you navigate from the "Recent Discussions" link bar on the right, it is easy to see the post, but you need to scroll up to see what sub-forum it's listed on. Otherwise the info posted can be completely wrong.

Everyone makes mistakes, it's easy to do.

If you see a post in a Forum that might be better off in another, please use the Report Post button to inform the staff. Thanks.

Does that mean that since I own a motorhome I can't post answers here? I have owned other types of rv's in the past and I have always hoped I could be of some help.

No, it doesn't mean that, at all. Any member is welcome, & encouraged, to post in any topic, in any Forum, or anywhere else on this website, at any time. Please do.

Thanks for the idea to use the Report Post button - I might try that next time. On the flip side, when people post about Toads in the Towing Vehicle forum they will not get the answer they need. Another example is when talking about battery systems in a tow vehicle with answers about motorhome batteries. There are times I feel like we are at Microsoft Support - correct answers with no relevence to the question asked.

Variety is the spice of life.

The more people you have viewing a problem the more likely it is that a solution will be found.

I presently have a MH. I have towed a TT, 5'er, and a few other smaller trailers. So, in my signature it states I have a MH, but the post I make may be relevant to the other types of RV. I do try to stay on the "topic" as it pertains to a specific type of RV.

Also, there a many, many commonalities between RV's, so just because someone says "my MH," does not mean that the information would not pertain to a TT or a 5'er. I just read and digest the information as informative or not informative and move on.
