Lol, I have people on the ground in Michigan. They said probably one more week before production will start back up on the F-150. That is what they are hearing anyway.
They did not have info about any other auto manufacturers.
I know Ram is having normal growing pains building the 2019 Ram 1500's so they are slowly being delivered to dealerships.

If I had to drive across the country not towing I would still pick a truck. Which truck...you can not make a mistake.
There is miniscule differences between the ride. 2019 Ram 1500 with air suspension Laramie 3.6litre engine would be my 1st pick. Closely followed by a Chevy 1500 5.3 litre tie with the F-150 2.7 Eco-Boost.
Heck, even the 3/4 ton trucks now ride nice and quiet.

Late model Ford owners should be more concern about their Cruise Control Deactivation Switch burning up their vehicle.

Huh? I just towed my #10,000 enclosed car hauler from Palm Springs to Seattle with my lowly 2016 5.3 Sierra Denali and was able to pull the mountains at 60 mph and ran 70 on the flats, how much damn hp do you need?

Doh.
We had a discussion on another forum about the plant fire and this also came up and I neglected to check the article date for this thread.

I will admit I added a set of overload leaf springs and an aftermarket sway bar to the rear end of the truck to both better handle the 1,000 lbs of hitch weight and better control those unforeseen sway events. Also scrapped the junk/dangerous 4-ply stock tires and put on a set of new 10-ply’s. This F-150 did pull the travel trailer in stock form back from the dealer in Idaho to it’s home in Utah, where after that 200 mile driving experience, I immediately ordered and installed the upgrades above. Many will ask why I did not purchase a 3/4 or 1 ton truck instead of adding all of these items. Truth is I am blessed to work in an occupation where my employer provides me with a new F150 every few years that I can use for personal use ... so makes no financial sense for me to personally own a second truck. I guess the point is I can tell you from direct experience the F150 will pull up to 10,000 lbs safely if set up correctly. As for the 12,500 lb max towing rating Ford advertises ... you are a braver man than me pulling that much with an F150.
Side note ... when I am not towing ... I drop the tire pressure back to 50 psi ... which lets me drive around in a soft suspension only offered in a 1/2 ton pickup.

And much better mpg than a 250/350.

Discussion is moot. Evening news said the plant will be on line by the end of the week. Parts will be rolling out Monday.
