Ram 3500 Intermittent OEM brake actuator
2012 Ram 3500 w/OEM trailer brakes. Shows trailer connected then trailer disconnected, repeatedly as long as you drive with trailer connected. Trailer brakes may work as normal when applied, may not, may lock up all trailer wheels, may not work at all. Shift the transmission lever and the indicator will change modes. Squeeze the actuator and release, and the indicator will change modes. Does the same on any of 43 trailers. Took to local dealer and he replaced the controller = No Change! Any input would be appreciated.

Personally, I'd have been looking for corrosion, poor connection in the trailer connector before replacing the controller.
Welcome to iRV2.
Intermittent electrical problems drove me to drink, and early retirement , it was a short trip mind you.

Loose wire of dirty or corroded connector. It is obvious the issue is somewhere between the controller and the back of the truck.

Definitely look at the rear plug for corrosion and such.
