The 3.73 was our only option.

That'll give you more power than you're ever gonna need, nice.

RAM Supplemental Air Suspension

As an update for new RAM 2500 or 3500 buyers. We ordered the 3500, DRW, crew cab, long bed with the supplemental air suspension just days after it was made available. After waiting 2 months we discovered there is a problem with the supplemental air suspension system and advised by upper level Chrysler staff, well above the dealer network, that it will not be available for 2014 nor 2015 models. Looking at the above posts my comment, we are sold on the Aisin transmission and have ordered the truck with it and the 3.73 differential on recommendation from a Chrysler RAM advocate. The difference in fuel economy will not really be measureable, however the pulling capacity especially in compromising situations is greatly improved. I was told the 3.42 gear was implemented to meet emission standards.

Glad we didn't order the air suspension then!

I never wanted a long bed. I got one as a result of other circumstances. Now that I have had it for 60k miles. Not sure I could ever go back. That is the problem, you "grow into" it. ;-)
