First of all - welcome to iRV2. Glad to have you aboard!

Can you provide more information on the van? Many times a conversion van will weigh more than a factory van because of added amenities. Without knowing the actual weight of the van, published towing capacity, # of passengers, and hitch weight of the trailer it is hard to give you accurate advice.

7700 lb tow cap from dealer when i purchased the van (original tow cap 8200 pds). We have 5oo lbs of bodies and 500 pounds of stuff including propane and water. Three dealerships say I will be fine and a friend of mine who has been selling rvs for 10 years says this set up is fine. I will have a reese dual cam set up. My van currently pulls a 29 ft jayco 264 tt 6100 pds fully loaded awesome. Need some more room in our trailer. Hitch weight of new trailer is 1008 pds. Just thinking not a done deal yet.
