I am trying to decide what shock. The RS9000 is adjustable and can have a remote adjustment added.
Has anyone used these? Good or bad? I tow a 35' Fiver and need to replace shocks on my '03 F250 SRW truck.

Had them on two of my precious excursions and LOVED them....

If you wait until the right time of the year they give away the remote adjustors for inside or buy three and get 1 for free...

think the last time I bought them they were like $82 per and they lasted over 60k miles (I traded the vehicles)

Or go with Bilsteins. Airbags on the rear would help alot too.

I've used Bilsteins/bags/etc but for my use the Rancho 9000 go on every truck I have used. I keep them on my wifes 1500 crew cab chevy/my 2500 Dodge/Cummins and a old '98 3500 DRW 4x4 chevy.
All three trucks pull various size trailers up to 16k so the adjustability for the rear suspension with the 9000s works great.

Thanks y'all. I'm pretty sure of the Ranchos. I just have to take the hit. The factory RS 5000 went bad and I now have the chucking problem.

I don't believe the factory 'Rancho' branded shocks are the same as what you buy aftermarket. I have had a 350 dually and now my 450 with the 'Rancho' and all the shocks were shot by 40000 miles. I replaced them with Bilsteins and none of them have worn out.

I had the Rancho 9000s on my previous 2002 dually. They did exactly what I bought them to do - comfortable ride unloaded with a well-controlled ride towing our 5th wheel.

I recently replaced my stock shocks on my 2011 Chevy dually with the 9000 shocks. Made a heck of a difference in the ride, both empty and loaded. The truck only had 19,500 miles on it and the reason I changed them was because of the ride while trying an air hitch. Couldn't stop the truck from bouncing, changing the shocks didn't cure the problem with the air hitch but sure makes it ride better empty and when towing with a standard hitch it rides much better. I ended up with a 6 setting on the front and a 8 on the rear using air bags on the rear with the overload snubbers removed so the rear is riding on air for the most part. This is with a 3k pin weight.

Ordered the rears today. The fronts have to wait until ol' Santy Claws gits dun here in SC. (Tavernese, similar to Pickinese) tavernese is spoken in Hickory Tavern, SC. Pickinese is spoken in Pickens, SC. Both often require a translator.

your are right, they aren't !
the factory shocks are built to ford specs which are MUCH less than 'normal' ranchos....

I think rancho hurt their image with these - may have made a bunch of money with ford - but hurt their brand for any ford buyer that has to replace them so soon...IMHO
