Rear bumper scrapes

Hey all,
Just returned from our second trip with our NTU tt.
I changed the hutch shank and it needs to be readjusted as it rides a bit low in the rear and not level.
Even if it were level, the rear bumper and spare tire scrapes going outta the dump station and in the driveway. Seems if the road is not level, it will scrape. Donít see any solution for it. But the old camper works well and is a nice step up from the popup.

If the trailer overhang is dragging, it sounds like your hitch is too high. You might need a drop hitch to level it out. It'll be easier to pull if you're not always pulling it uphill!

Also make sure you're not overloading the trailer or perhaps have weak/broken springs on the trailer.

I had to get a longer shank for my WDH since I could not level it with the stock shank

1) Skid bars on frame at rear will put the damage on them and not the bumper/tire
2) Consider having the axles 'flipped' to where they are under the springs instead of on top of them.

My old TT sat very low to the ground... A PO had installed a piece of heavy C channel across the back of the frame rails. The put some really heavy castor wheels on the channel under each frame rail. I had a few times where the back of the trailer was lifted by those casters... never hurt anything.
